3 Popular Winter Wedding Color Combinations

When planning your winter weddings color palette, don’t feel like you need to be limited to only dark tones or classic holiday colors. Any color combination can bring a winter event to life if you make adjustments for the season in a thoughtful and creative way. Using the colors from three recent weddings I designed, I’ll show you how to turn them into wedding color palettes perfect for the winter season.

SPARKLING WINTER WHITE

Layering white on white never goes out of style, and it’s a look that’s elegant in every season. Clear glass accessories like tableware and candelabras will sparkle in the candlelight, and translucent ghost chairs will add an icy winter effect to the whole environment. To balance the snowy winter feel, incorporate soft, sumptuous textures in your linens and lounge area that will create a cozy, tactile experience for your guests.

JEWEL TONES

Rich jewel tones are PERFECT for winter weddings. Picture the dark, saturated colors of emerald, ruby, amethyst and sapphire incorporated into the floral design, fashion and decor accents of your day. They pair beautifully together and can create a wonderful sense of glamour in any celebration.

CREAM, SAGE & ANTIQUE SILVER

For a classic, romantic winter affair, you can’t go wrong with the soft tones of cream, blush, dusty sage and antique silver or pewter. I love the use of baby’s breath in this palette for delicate green and white floral accents along side sculptural and fragrant roses. Other classic wedding touches like lace, linen and thick satin or velvet ribbon will pair perfectly with the patina of antique sliver flatware, chargers, serving dishes or trays.
