Creating a baby shower for leading photographer Melody Melikian was pure joy for our team! Excited to be welcoming a little boy to her family, she chose classic baby blue for her color palette. To make her event look modern and fashionably minimalist we went with a monochromatic design and layered shades of the same color using texture and tone to make important elements pop out. The soft silk flowers hanging from the ceiling created lovely shadows across the open-air dining area adding depth and drama. Delphinium in just the right shades looked stunning on the tabletops with glittering crystal stemware, and even the beverages served were blue. To play up the baby theme, we used rocking horses and wooden blocks and surrounded the space in lush fabric and carpet to finish the look.
