I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Sorrento, Italy to design the florals and decor for an incredible editorial photo shoot at Villa Astor. This extraordinary private residence is perched on the cliff side overlooking the Bays of Naples, and owned by a wonderful family. Its gardens are filled with lush botanicals, ancient Greek and Roman statues, and the ruins of an ancient Roman villa that dates back to the 1st century A.D.

Our team created a modern fairytale wedding story that took place throughout the Villa and culminated in a candlelit wedding dinner on the terrace with a panoramic view of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. The organizers of the shoot enlisted my help to create something out of the norm - not simply the traditional Sorrento decor most would imagine, but an environment that transcended the moment. I loved using my artistic eye and ability to think outside the box and create an ambiance that was perfect for the setting but delightfully unexpected.
